How to Install Inside Mount Vertical Blinds

Follow these straightforward steps to install your inside mount vertical blinds:

1. Position the Valance
Align the valance so it faces the room and matches the window edge. Set your bracket clips 3 inches in from both the left and right edges.

2. Mark Starter Holes
Use the bracket clips as templates to mark starter holes for the screws. To make fastening easier, create starter holes by tapping a screw with a hammer or using a drill bit where the mounting screws will go.

3. Secure the Brackets
Lightly tap starter holes through the top slot of each bracket to mark where the screws will go. Fasten the supplied screws through the valance into the mounting surface for each bracket.

4. Attach the Headrail
Hook the front of the headrail into the brackets and rotate it back until it snaps securely into place.

5. Install the Vanes
Start by pulling the cord to evenly space the vane stems, then rotate the stems so the openings face you.

6. Attach Each Vane
Slide the first vane into the plastic stem until it snaps into place. Repeat this process until all vanes are attached.

7. Install the Safety Bracket
Attach the safety bracket near the outside bottom of the window frame to keep the cord or chain taut, ensuring it doesn’t interfere with the operation of your vertical blinds.

8. Test Your Blinds
Pull down on the cord to open or close the blinds. Use the beaded chain to rotate the blinds as needed.

Follow these simple steps to install your outside mount vertical blinds:

2. Mark Bracket Positions
Using a pencil, make a mark 3 inches in from each end of the headrail.

3. Install the Brackets
Align the top of your left bracket with the inside of the pencil line and fasten it to the wall with the supplied screws. Repeat this for the right side and any additional brackets, ensuring all are aligned and level.

4. Attach the Headrail
Hook the front of the headrail into the brackets and push up on the backside until it snaps securely into place.

5. Install the Vanes
Pull the cord to evenly space the vane stems, then use the chain to rotate them so the openings face you.

How to Install Inside Mount Faux Wood Blinds

Follow these straightforward steps to install your inside mount faux wood blinds:

1. Position the Mounting Brackets
Place the mounting brackets against the window frame, ensuring they are flush and level. Mark the screw holes with a pencil. If your blinds include a decorative valance, position the brackets slightly deeper into the opening to make room for it. For added stability, mark the screw holes diagonally. To facilitate screw installation, create starter holes by gently tapping a screw with a hammer or using a drill bit.

2. Secure the Brackets
Attach the first bracket by inserting two screws. Repeat this process for the opposite side. Make sure both brackets are straight and aligned, then tighten the screws securely.

3. Install Additional Support Brackets
If your blinds come with extra support brackets, install them now. Use a steel measuring tape or level to ensure everything is aligned correctly. Center support brackets should be positioned off-center to avoid interfering with any internal mechanisms.

4. Attach the Valance Clips
Snap the provided valance clips onto the headrail, spacing them evenly so they don’t obstruct any internal mechanisms.

5. Mount the Headrail
Slide the headrail into the brackets. To secure it, press up on the bottom of the bracket with your thumbs while lowering the front until it clicks into place.

6. Add the Valance
Snap the valance into the clips that you just installed.

7. Test Your Blinds
Use the pull cord to gently raise and lower your blinds. Adjust the slats by using the tilt cord or by rotating the wand.
